About Me

Hello, I’m Lynn, thank you for visiting my website. I’m a Florida native, living in San Francisco and providing telehealth therapy to Florida and California clients. I hold Florida and California licenses in Mental Health Counseling and in Marriage and Family Therapy and participate in a number of national insurance networks. I’ve worked for the past twenty years with a broad spectrum of individuals, couples, and families in a wide variety of settings – in client home, hospital, public clinic, and private practice. My clients have presented me with an extensive range of issues and life circumstances, including substance abuse, trauma histories, mental illness, divorce, and loss.

My approach is solution-focused, meaning we will focus on where you are now, where you want to go, and how we’re going to get you there. We’ll focus on issues in your past only to the extent that they’re getting in your way today, building instead on the strengths that you’ve developed overcoming past difficulties. My belief is that clients know what’s best for them so I work collaboratively to ensure clients are experiencing the changes they desire for themselves.

Emotional wellness does not exist in isolation. It heavily influences and is heavily influenced by physical health, relationships, daily habits, and our working and living environments. In therapy, regardless of the reasons clients come to see me, I work within this overall health and wellness context. At times I will encourage clients to make changes or take up other activities, in addition to therapy, to support their treatment goals.

I truly appreciate that calling a therapist and asking for help can be a difficult and intimidating prospect. I’m deeply mindful of my clients’ individuality and, quite often, ambivalence about therapy. I will do my humble best to help you feel accepted, understood, and valued as we identify and work towards goals that are meaningful to you.

My practice offers a secure client portal for 24/7 appointment scheduling and paperwork sharing as well as text, voice, and e-mail session reminders.
